Jay & Fran Grooters, owners of Mountain Living, Inc., have operated Alpine Trail Ridge Inn since 1977. The Hoerner Family has owned the property since the 1960's.

How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Fran was raised on a guest ranch in Estes Park she lo loves to help people get to know and enjoy this beautiful area, with Rocky Mountain National Park as it's precious gem. She and her husband, Jay, wanted to work together. Jay had built their home and has always been a great problem solver, so the lodging business is a perfect fit.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We are located at the Beaver Meadows Entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park with a fantastic view of the Front Range of the Rockies and a park meadow across the street. Though we are an older property, the rooms are constantly being upgraded, they are exceptionally clean and well-maintained, the free wireless internet service is the fastest at a lodging property in Estes Park and the heated outdoor pool sparkles. Fran and the staffs' knowledge of hiking trails, photography tips and activities and events in the area, is unbeatable!

Alpine is located at 927 Moraine Ave., on US 36 west of Estes Park. From the west, take US 34 from Grand Lake and continue on US 36 towards Estes Park, after crossing through RMNP. We are on the left (north) side of the road, just before the first stoplight. From the south, take Hwy 7 towards Estes Park. Turn left onto Mary's Lake Road. Turn left onto US 36/Moraine Ave at the stoplight and we are immediately on your right. From the Northeast, take US 34 into Estes Park. Continue into the downtown on US 34/US 36/Elkhorn Ave. Take a left turn at the intersection with Moraine Ave (US 36 W). Get into right lane and stay right at the fork. Travel about 1 mile and pass through the stoplight at Mary's Lake Rd/Moraine Ave. We are immediately on your right. From the Southeast, take US 36 to Estes Park. Pass through the first stoplight (jct of Hwy 7 and US 36). Turn left at the 2nd stoplight onto US 34/US 36/Elkhorn Ave. Take a left turn at the intersection with Moraine Ave (US 36 W). Get into right lane and stay right at the fork. Travel about 1 mile and pass through the stoplight at Mary's Lake Rd/Moraine Ave. We are immediately on your right.

Alpine Trail Ridge Inn, LLC owns the company. Mountain Living, Inc. runs the daily operations.
What are your hours of operation?
7 a.m. - 9 p.m. May 1 - mid-October, 7 days/week. On property, 24/7. Lodging, on property, is closed from mid-October - April 30. Reservations are accepted year around. Winter hours vary, but message can always be left and will be returned within 24 hours.
